Austin, TX DOC Thank You Letter
March 7th, 2008
The Austin Texas Day of Champions had the handy-work of God written all over it! There were no obstacles greater than His ability to overcome, and as a result; we triumphed victoriously! The weather was God’s signature of approval to our effort. Thanks to Chaplain Tommy Mc Intosh and the staff of the Travis County Correctional Facility, the stage was well set for His work. Also a special thanks to Captain Brad Robinson and Ed Green of Hayes County Jail for opportunities there. Combine that with 156 teammates willing to serve, and the result is 421 decisions for Christ! Praise God!
My hat also goes off to all those who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to provide meals and snacks, as well as meeting space for us all on Friday night. God bless Pastor Mark Weaver and his wife Cindy for their gift of the New Hope Church facilities. Garland Cole, Hill Country Bible Church, Hill Country Daily Bread Ministries, and Judy Edwards must be congratulated for effort above and beyond the call of duty in furnishing the means to feed us Friday and Saturday.
But the greatest commendation must go to you our teammates; without whose dedication to this ministry none of this could happen. It is you whom God called to share your faith with those less fortunate, and you answered the call! We are humbled and overwhelmed with Joy to know that God has blessed us with you! In service to you we extend the opportunity to join us for future events such as Oklahoma City Day of Champions, and Gatesville, Houston, and Dallas/Ft. Worth Weekends later this year. Please view our enclosed schedule and sign up now for these and other future events.
If you heard the announcement by Kit Van Arsdale on Friday about First Team, don’t forget to arrive earlier on weekend events to enjoy the one-on-one session with Bill Glass! And if you missed it, be sure to call Roberta Edwards at the office for information about joining this awesome group!
May God Bless You Richly!
