Fresno, CA WOC Thank You Letter

The 1st weekend in May is the time for our annual gathering. A time of fellowship with old friends and starting relationships.  These friendships last a lifetime, because everyone that has played or fought together, a special bond has been created.  Both spiritually and in the natural this bond is stronger than just meeting a person at the store.  I have been coming to the Central Valley for over 40 years and have developed many relationships that are still going and growing.  Paul Reid, Bob Bradford, Lori Bennett, G.L. Johnson, Randy Rocca, and Norm Kizirian are just a few that are still going into the Prisons and Schools. Bill Pruitt and Jack Gould are others that come to mind. But I shouldn’t start naming friends because all of you on the local committee and many others come to mind. All teammates are pivotal.

We had 195 freshman signed up for this year’s event. These new relationships that have been started will last forever. You may only see them once a year in the Central Valley, but when we serve together we just picked up where we left off.

2599 inmates started a new relationship with Jesus this weekend. That relationship will last for eternity, what a harvest of eternal souls. God used each of us in very special ways.  We all fit tightly together to make the body of Christ functional.  Nothing that happened this weekend could have happened without you.  Don’t ever forget that!!! You made this huge weekend happen.

Those of you that joined our monthly giving program, “First Team”, I thank you.  We desperately need to reach the 10,000 members, our initial goal. “The fields are white and the laborers are few.” There are so many hurting people and so little time to reach them.  We all need to feel the urgency.  We need you to come more often if you can … we need you to support just a little more.  We are running a race and we are suppose to run to win.  Together we can cross the finish line together.

See you at the Oakland/Sacramento, CA WOC October 9-11, 2008, if not before!
